At Highfield Nursery School, we have four classes:

Our Adventurers are confident, capable learners who thrive on new challenges and experiences. In this pre-school group, children are encouraged to take the lead in their learning, exploring both indoor and outdoor environments, including our dedicated Forest School area. Through play-based activities, they develop independence, creativity, and critical thinking skills, laying a strong foundation for their transition to primary school.

Our Explorers are curious and enthusiastic learners who delight in discovering the world around them. This group focuses on nurturing communication, social interaction and physical development through engaging, hands on activities. With support of our experienced staff, Explorers build confidence and form positive relationships, setting the stage for a lifelong love of learning.

Our Discoverers are unique and valued members of our nursery community. This inclusive group offers a supportive environment tailored to the individual needs of each child. With enhanced staff ratios and specialized resources, we provide personalised learning experiences that promote communication, sensory exploration and social-emotional development. Our goal is to empower every child to reach their full potential.

Our Seekers are our youngest learners, embarking on their educational journey with wonder and excitement. In a warm and nurturing setting, they engage sensory-rich activities that support early communication, motor skills and social interaction. Our dedicated staff foster secure attachments, helping each child feel safe and confident as they begin to explore their environment.
